War stories: Residents add voices to Veterans Project - The Frederick News-Post Online
The Frederick County Veterans History Project hosted its annual reunion Saturday for participants and their families. More than a dozen of the veterans who attended live at Country Meadows Retirement Community, including Ray Dorsey, shown with Country Meadows marketing director Debbie Savageau.
"Something for Everyone" (Resident H. Warren) Residents of Country Meadows remain healthy and active through a full array of offerings including social events, spiritual enrichment programs, recreational activities, cognitive and intellectual stimulation. Residents also engage in purposeful activities by volunteering on-campus and in the community.

All aboard the Bookmobile
The Community Bookmobile stops at Country Meadows of Frederick on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month. Operated by the Frederick County Public Libraries, the Bookmobile offers a full selection of books including hardback and paperback, regular and large print, books on CD, and various magazines.
Chris Long, Librarian and Driver of the Bookmobile, "I have a list of requests from each visit and I try to bring them on my next visit."
The Bookmobile is a great service to Frederick County and we are pleased to have 2 stops each month for the residents of Country Meadows of Frederick.

Resident Art Exhibit (April 2010): Ilajean Jones
This month's art exhibit features resident artist Ilajean Jones. The exhibit consists of 3 main catagories including cleverly Carved Characters, amazing nature-inspired Wood Carvings, & beautiful Wall Art crafted from wood burning and needlework.
